A colorful bouquet

Today I am presenting a card I made using stamps from the company I told you about : Create A Smile.  I wanted to try the technique of masking which consists in stamping the images one behind the other and use some masking paper so that the lines of the stamps wouldn’t instersect and make it as if the new images were behind the previous.

For this card I really wanted to create a simple design guest staring these beautiful stamps so I created a big bouquet.

I wanted to have something to color while I was staying at my mother’s house for Christmas so I prepared this before leaving and did it during my stay there using my Prismacolor colored pencils. I looove these pencils, they blend wonderfully20160105_105807-1 with almost no effort. Once the colouring was finished, I used an odourless mineral spirit for oil painting to blend even more, but quite honestly the difference wasn’t all that obvious because these pencils do a great job on their own…

To finifh my card I simply added the sentiment heat embossed in gold « félicitations ! » (congratulations in French) and I used a clear wink of Stella glitter pen to add shimmery accents on my card. What I used is the pen version of the Wink of Stella glitter, not the brush. The tip is much more precise which allows me to accents lines and very small areas easily.

I am also letting you know that if you are interested, Create a Smile is looking for a guest designer for the month of February. So if you like their products as much as I do, head over to their blog and create a card 🙂
